Merrydale Manor was built in 2017 for the purpose of being one of the most luxurious and sophisticated wedding venues in this area of the UK. Merrydale Manor and its sister venue, Colshaw Hall, are owned and managed by the Irlam family. The Irlams' built the manor on property adjoining Colshaw Hall. The estate's grand sweeping driveway takes you through the property amid the beautiful gardens and parkland.
In addition to the rolling hills of the countryside, a polo field is also nearby. The wedding venue is exclusive use, allowing the bride and groom, as well as their guests, to have all the privacy they like. Picturesque views of the area provide for the stunning wedding photos the estate is known to offer. Merrydale Manor weddings are known for their style and beauty. Even though the venue is relatively new, its atmosphere and layout give it an ageless charm that most couples like.

My name is David Conway, and I am a well-known Merrydale Manor wedding photographer will almost 15 years of experience. I take a relaxed approach to my photography, blending contemporary and documentary styles. As a Cheshire wedding photographer, I look at the whole property for ideas. I tend to be very creative, always looking for ways to capture the true emotion of the day.
From the groomsmen in the Cave to the bridesmaids in the Makeup Suite, there are many opportunities for beautiful wedding photographs. The special moments rarely occur during the wedding ceremony. They take place as your wedding day unfolds, and the minutes tick away until two lives join together as one. It's the moments no one expects that tend to be the most heartwarming. My job as a wedding photographer is to find those moments and capture them so they can be enjoyed again and again.
Before you choose a wedding photographer, you should get to know them. I encourage all of my clients to schedule a meeting well in advance of their intended wedding date. Meeting one another allows us to get to know one another. We will have time to discuss what type of photos you would like. 1. What area do you cover?
I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, which gives me access to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and large areas of Yorkshire. As a rule, I am happy to travel up to 60 miles to cover a wedding. Any further than this I would have to charge a travel fee.
2. How many photos will I get from our wedding photography?
Every wedding is different and the number of images you receive can be a reflection of what moments are there to be captured. On a normal wedding day I usually deliver between 600-800 images to your online gallery.
3. How long will it be before I receive my wedding gallery?
I know how keen my couples are to see and share some images from their wedding day, so with this in mind I always like to provide a selection of teaser shots a day or two after the wedding day. This would usually be around 20-30 images. I then aim to deliver the full collection of images on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks.
4. Can I share my images and buy prints and wall art?
From the online gallery my coupes will have access to the full selection of wedding images, but they will be subtly watermarked. From the gallery you would be able to order any prints or wall art directly through my professional printing service. You would be able to share the gallery to any friends and family, and they too, would be able to order any prints they may like as well. 5. How long have you been Photographing Weddings?
Having been photographing weddings for the best part of 13 years, I am a highly experienced photographer. I have been lucky to work at some of the countries premium wedding venues and have one many awards, including the prestigious Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2021.
6. Are you fully Insured?
Yes, I have insurance for all my equipment as well as £2M public liability insurance. I also have Drone insurance as well as the necessary drone qualifications to be legal and safe when flying at a wedding.
7. Will we have to pay extra for Drone Photos?
No. I see my drone as an essential piece of equipment on a wedding day, and so long as the weather allows it and it is safe to do so, I will use it on your wedding day to capture shots of the venue, your guests and it allows me to get creative when getting shots of my couples too.
