Greater Manchester is the ideal location for a wedding photographer in the North West of England. You want your special day to be one you will never forget. You want the perfect wedding photographer to capture all of your best memories. You can have everything you want in one perfect location.
There are so many beautiful wedding venues in the Greater Manchester and Cheshire areas that it will be hard to narrow it down to one. You will know when you are in the right place. The same is true when you find the right documentary wedding photographer. You want a Greater Manchester wedding photographer with a style that works best for you.
My name is David Conway, and I am a well-known Greater Manchester wedding photographer. I offer a selection of wedding photography packages to ensure that my bride and groom get the wedding photos they want to tell the day's story. I look for the real moments.
The natural moments stand out when full of emotional smiles and happy tears. My style of photography is simple. My relaxed approach allows me to become part of the scenery and capture the hidden moments that other wedding photographers may miss.
Although the term Greater Manchester came into use a few decades ago, the area was inhabited as early as the Iron Age. The area has been occupied by Roman settlements as well as German-speaking tribes. During the Industrial Revolution in the late 1800s, the area began to change in terms of both domestic life and the type of available occupations.
Over the centuries, as the area evolved and the population continued to increase, many manor houses, cathedrals, industrial areas, and cottage homes began to appear. The result is an area full of opportunities a contemporary wedding photographer like myself can use to your advantage.
Greater Manchester wedding venues come in many different forms. One wedding venue may offer outdoor areas for garden weddings. Other wedding venues may follow a more rustic theme. My documentary-style approach is more relaxed and allows me to look for the real moments. In many instances, I am in the right place at the right time to capture the perfect moment that tells the true story of the day.
From the minute you start preparing for the ceremony to the first dance, I look forward to capturing as many of your beautiful memories as possible. With my photographs, I will create a wedding package based on your wishes and develop an album that speaks volumes about your love for one another.
If you want a photography style that is both documentary and relaxed, you have come to the right place! At David Conway Photographer, I love being a Greater Manchester wedding photographer. I know the area very well and can help you find the ideal location for your big day. The wedding photographs you receive will be as unique and beautiful as you are.
When you are ready to schedule your appointment, we can get to know one another, and I will begin to work on ideas for the wedding package that best suits your wishes!
I am David Conway, an award-winning West Yorkshire wedding photographer. I've been a wedding photographer for more than 14 years, and I take both relaxed, professional photos of the day's events and beautiful, modern photos of the couple. The bride and groom can spend time together and take unique photos. My style is natural and unposed, and I rarely tell people where to stand or how to pose themselves. This leads to beautiful, natural wedding photos.
I've won several prestigious awards from the Guild of Photographers for my work as a wedding photographer.

1. What area do you cover?
I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, which gives me access to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and large areas of Yorkshire. As a rule, I am happy to travel up to 60 miles to cover a wedding. Any further than this I would have to charge a travel fee.
2. How many photos will I get from our wedding photography?
Every wedding is different and the number of images you receive can be a reflection of what moments are there to be captured. On a normal wedding day I usually deliver between 600-800 images to your online gallery.
3. How long will it be before I receive my wedding gallery?
I know how keen my couples are to see and share some images from their wedding day, so with this in mind I always like to provide a selection of teaser shots a day or two after the wedding day. This would usually be around 20-30 images. I then aim to deliver the full collection of images on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks.
4. Can I share my images and buy prints and wall art?
From the online gallery my coupes will have access to the full selection of wedding images, but they will be subtly watermarked. From the gallery you would be able to order any prints or wall art directly through my professional printing service. You would be able to share the gallery to any friends and family, and they too, would be able to order any prints they may like as well. If you wanted the full collection of high resolution images to share and keep, my couples do have the option of ordering a USB. See more on my packages page here.
5. How long have you been Photographing Weddings?
Having been photographing weddings for the best part of 13 years, I am a highly experienced photographer. I have been lucky to work at some of the countries premium wedding venues and have one many awards, including the prestigious Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2021.
6. Are you fully Insured?
Yes, I have insurance for all my equipment as well as £2M public liability insurance. I also have Drone insurance as well as the necessary drone qualifications to be legal and safe when flying at a wedding.
7. Will we have to pay extra for Drone Photos?
No. I see my drone as an essential piece of equipment on a wedding day, and so long as the weather allows it and it is safe to do so, I will use it on your wedding day to capture shots of the venue, your guests and it allows me to get creative when getting shots of my couples too.
8. How do I book in for a chat about my wedding?
Get in touch using my contact page here and we can arrange a chat, either in person at my home in Brockholes, Holmfirth, or we can arrange a Zoom call.
Part of the wedding planning process is booking the right photographer. I would love to get to know you. Call today to schedule an appointment so we can sit down and learn a little about one another. Send an email if you prefer! The sooner I meet you, the more time I will have to create an idea of photos you would like to capture during your ceremony, reception and evening party.
