Owen House Wedding Barn is a wedding venue everyone in the family will love. Mobberley is in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. This country community is the perfect setting for weddings at the Owen House Barn. When planning your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect. A beautiful wedding dress, a rustic setting, and a bespoke venue offering all the amenities you are looking for.
In addition to the perfect rustic wedding, you want the best Owen House Wedding Barn wedding photographer to capture every lovely touching moment. My name is David Conway, and it would be my honour! You don't want to leave anything to chance on your big day. The beautiful Cheshire countryside offers picturesque backdrops and scenic vistas for almost any style of photography.
Owen House Wedding Barn was made into a rustic wedding venue in 2013. The entire farm is now a family-friendly exclusive-use venue. Each building and shed serves a unique purpose. As a fully functioning farm, you have access to all the nostalgia and tradition that a country wedding brings. A rural setting is perfect for down-to-earth couples who enjoy the simpler things in life.
The best wedding photography starts with the perfect backdrops and a few of your favourite people. Having your wedding ceremony in a beautiful old barn can make for very unique pictures. The fact that the farm is in operation at all times means you will always have something going on around you. The sounds of the farm and laughing children are everywhere. If you are having a drinks reception, add the tinkling of champagne glasses to the menagerie of sounds.
Owen House Wedding Barn is a wedding venue like no other. The Beauty Shed is available for all of the bridal preparations. For the groom and groomsmen, the Baa-BER Shed will make sure they look their best. A table football game is included in the barber shed for the guys to enjoy. The civil ceremony room easily seats 150, while the reception area seats 190. There is even a secret breakout room where people can slip away for a little quiet time.
Owen House also has something most other wedding venues in Manchester lack. It has a shooting gallery that is every photographer's dream! Multiple backdrops, plants, and props are available in a photographic space that we can use to create fantastic wedding photographs. In addition to the spontaneous and wonderfully unique candid photos, we will also have the option to create stylish portraits.
If you've finally said yes, then it's time to start planning your wedding day. Call and schedule our first meeting as soon as you know what venue you will be hiring. The earlier we can start putting together your wedding package, the more time I will have to come up with unique and creative ways to make your big day as wonderful as possible. I enjoy what I do, especially when I can give each couple something that will be uniquely theirs.
Once we meet, we can schedule a tour of your venue. We can look at the many different areas that will be perfect for wedding photos. I pride myself on being creative and original. When you choose me to be your Owen House Wedding Barn photographer, you won't be disappointed! I will document every step you take as newlyweds, so when you reflect back on your special day, you will be able to relive every minute.
I am David Conway, an award-winning West Yorkshire wedding photographer. I've been a wedding photographer for more than 14 years, and I take both relaxed, professional photos of the day's events and beautiful, modern photos of the couple. The bride and groom can spend time together and take unique photos. My style is natural and unposed, and I rarely tell people where to stand or how to pose themselves. This leads to beautiful, natural wedding photos.
I've won several prestigious awards from the Guild of Photographers for my work as a wedding photographer.
Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year Top Five 2019

1. What area do you cover?
I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, which gives me access to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and large areas of Yorkshire. As a rule, I am happy to travel up to 60 miles to cover a wedding. Any further than this I would have to charge a travel fee.
2. How many photos will I get from our wedding photography?
Every wedding is different and the number of images you receive can be a reflection of what moments are there to be captured. On a normal wedding day I usually deliver between 600-800 images to your online gallery.
3. How long will it be before I receive my wedding gallery?
I know how keen my couples are to see and share some images from their wedding day, so with this in mind I always like to provide a selection of teaser shots a day or two after the wedding day. This would usually be around 20-30 images. I then aim to deliver the full collection of images on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks.
4. Can I share my images and buy prints and wall art?
From the online gallery my coupes will have access to the full selection of wedding images, but they will be subtly watermarked. From the gallery you would be able to order any prints or wall art directly through my professional printing service. You would be able to share the gallery to any friends and family, and they too, would be able to order any prints they may like as well. If you wanted the full collection of high resolution images to share and keep, my couples do have the option of ordering a USB. See more on my packages page here.
5. How long have you been Photographing Weddings?
Having been photographing weddings for the best part of 13 years, I am a highly experienced photographer. I have been lucky to work at some of the countries premium wedding venues and have one many awards, including the prestigious Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2021.
6. Are you fully Insured?
Yes, I have insurance for all my equipment as well as £2M public liability insurance. I also have Drone insurance as well as the necessary drone qualifications to be legal and safe when flying at a wedding.
7. Will we have to pay extra for Drone Photos?
No. I see my drone as an essential piece of equipment on a wedding day, and so long as the weather allows it and it is safe to do so, I will use it on your wedding day to capture shots of the venue, your guests and it allows me to get creative when getting shots of my couples too.
8. How do I book in for a chat about my wedding?
Get in touch using my contact page here and we can arrange a chat, either in person at my home in Brockholes, Holmfirth, or we can arrange a Zoom call.
Part of the wedding planning process is booking the right photographer. I would love to get to know you. Call today to schedule an appointment so we can sit down and learn a little about one another. Send an email if you prefer! The sooner I meet you, the more time I will have to create an idea of photos you would like to capture during your ceremony, reception and evening party.
