If you've chosen Rudding Park as your wedding venue, you want a North Yorkshire wedding photographer that knows the venue and everything it has to offer. My name is David Conway, and I am an award-winning documentary-style wedding photographer. Rudding Park Hotel is one of my favourite places to take pictures. It is one of the most picturesque in Northern England and offers some of the best scenic views if you want a natural backdrop. If you are searching for a Rudding Park wedding photographer, look no further! I would be honoured to do the job!
The question was asked and the answer was yes! Huge congratulations are in order! Now, it's time to start the planning process. Your first step will be to start working out the details with your wedding planner. It's a good idea to visit the venue and determine what areas will be best for your wedding photos. The gorgeous grounds, historic castle, and woodland areas are all exceptional locations. Once we do a quick walk-through, we can start to understand what your wedding day will be like.
Rudding Park Hotel is close to both Harrogate and York. The health-giving natural springs near Rudding Park brought wealthy patrons to the area for many years. Harrogate had everything it needed to provide spa services to those who travelled to receive them. For the past 50 years, Rudding Park has catered to those who visited the area for the healing waters as well as to those who wanted to "get away from it all'. The wedding venue now offers a beautiful golf course and many other amenities to those who want to escape for a few days.
Rudding Park Hotel is designed with the bride and groom in mind. The bride and bridesmaids can take care of the bridal preparations in a room suited for just that purpose. The groom and groomsmen may want to slip into town for a toast before getting ready for the wedding ceremony. I will be there to start taking photos as soon as everyone arrives. As the day progresses, I will be celebrating right along with you. Sharing the happy moments that will eventually become your wedding album. From the wedding breakfast until long after the first dance, I will be looking for photo opportunities that will tell your love story.
My style of Rudding Park wedding photography is both documentary and artistic. I love what I do, and it makes my job so much easier when the bride and groom forget I am there. Capturing the natural, unrehearsed moments that are full of joy and sincere happiness is what wedding photography is all about. Call me as soon as you set your wedding date so we will have plenty of time to prepare! I am looking forward to working with you on your special day!
I am David Conway, an award-winning West Yorkshire wedding photographer. I've been a wedding photographer for more than 14 years, and I take both relaxed, professional photos of the day's events and beautiful, modern photos of the couple. The bride and groom can spend time together and take unique photos. My style is natural and unposed, and I rarely tell people where to stand or how to pose themselves. This leads to beautiful, natural wedding photos.
I've won several prestigious awards from the Guild of Photographers for my work as a wedding photographer.
Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year Top Five 2019

1. What area do you cover?
I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, which gives me access to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and large areas of Yorkshire. As a rule, I am happy to travel up to 60 miles to cover a wedding. Any further than this I would have to charge a travel fee.
2. How many photos will I get from our wedding photography?
Every wedding is different and the number of images you receive can be a reflection of what moments are there to be captured. On a normal wedding day I usually deliver between 600-800 images to your online gallery.
3. How long will it be before I receive my wedding gallery?
I know how keen my couples are to see and share some images from their wedding day, so with this in mind I always like to provide a selection of teaser shots a day or two after the wedding day. This would usually be around 20-30 images. I then aim to deliver the full collection of images on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks.
4. Can I share my images and buy prints and wall art?
From the online gallery my coupes will have access to the full selection of wedding images, but they will be subtly watermarked. From the gallery you would be able to order any prints or wall art directly through my professional printing service. You would be able to share the gallery to any friends and family, and they too, would be able to order any prints they may like as well. If you wanted the full collection of high resolution images to share and keep, my couples do have the option of ordering a USB. See more on my packages page here.
5. How long have you been Photographing Weddings?
Having been photographing weddings for the best part of 13 years, I am a highly experienced photographer. I have been lucky to work at some of the countries premium wedding venues and have one many awards, including the prestigious Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2021.
6. Are you fully Insured?
Yes, I have insurance for all my equipment as well as £2M public liability insurance. I also have Drone insurance as well as the necessary drone qualifications to be legal and safe when flying at a wedding.
7. Will we have to pay extra for Drone Photos?
No. I see my drone as an essential piece of equipment on a wedding day, and so long as the weather allows it and it is safe to do so, I will use it on your wedding day to capture shots of the venue, your guests and it allows me to get creative when getting shots of my couples too.
8. How do I book in for a chat about my wedding?
Get in touch using my contact page here and we can arrange a chat, either in person at my home in Brockholes, Holmfirth, or we can arrange a Zoom call.
Part of the wedding planning process is booking the right photographer. I would love to get to know you. Call today to schedule an appointment so we can sit down and learn a little about one another. Send an email if you prefer! The sooner I meet you, the more time I will have to create an idea of photos you would like to capture during your ceremony, reception and evening party.
