South Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

Are You Looking for a South Yorkshire Wedding Photographer?

If you are planning a South Yorkshire wedding, you must find the right wedding photographer. You can choose from many South Yorkshire wedding photographers. My name is David Conway, and I am a well-known, award-winning South Yorkshire wedding photographer. My documentary-style images tend to stand out as a form of fine art. Documentary photography isn't about simply capturing images. It's about using those images to tell your love story and bring to life all the feelings and emotions you felt on your wedding day.

South Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

As a South Yorkshire wedding photographer, I work in many areas of the county and beyond. I have taken wedding photos at venues in Doncaster, Nottinghamshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire, to name a few. I love natural wedding photography and can use it to create breathtaking artistic portraits. Whether you are planning a large wedding or a small, intimate ceremony with only a few family members and friends, I will be right at home behind the camera. If you decide on a whim that you want to sneak away and get married, I'm also available for elopements!

History of South Yorkshire

South Yorkshire is primarily known as a mining area, rich in coal and a hub for the steel manufacturing industry. Rotherham, Barnsley, and the cities of Sheffield and Doncaster make up the four large council areas. Although the area is known for its industrial endeavours, it is also well-known for its beautiful countryside and luxury wedding venues. The best wedding photographers in the area can point out beautiful green spaces and scenic countryside views that make South Yorkshire the perfect wedding destination. Many couples from North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire choose the area for its rich history and beautiful wedding venues.

About David Conway Photography

I am David Conway, an award-winning West Yorkshire wedding photographer. I've been a wedding photographer for more than 14 years, and I take both relaxed, professional photos of the day's events and beautiful, modern photos of the couple. The bride and groom can spend time together and take unique photos. My style is natural and unposed, and I rarely tell people where to stand or how to pose themselves. This leads to beautiful, natural wedding photos.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What area do you cover?

I am based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, which gives me access to Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and large areas of Yorkshire.  As a rule, I am happy to travel up to 60 miles to cover a wedding.  Any further than this I would have to charge a travel fee.

2.  How many photos will I get from our wedding photography?

Every wedding is different and the number of images you receive can be a reflection of what moments are there to be captured.  On a normal wedding day I usually deliver between 600-800 images to your online gallery.

3. How long will it be before I receive my wedding gallery?

I know how keen my couples are to see and share some images from their wedding day, so with this in mind I always like to provide a selection of teaser shots a day or two after the wedding day.  This would usually be around 20-30 images.  I then aim to deliver the full collection of images on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks.

4.  Can I share my images and buy prints and wall art?

From the online gallery my coupes will have access to the full selection of wedding images, but they will be subtly watermarked.  From the gallery you would be able to order any prints or wall art directly through my professional printing service.  You would be able to share the gallery to any friends and family, and they too, would be able to order any prints they may like as well.  If you wanted the full collection of high resolution images to share and keep, my couples do have the option of ordering a USB.  See more on my packages page here.

5.  How long have you been Photographing Weddings?

Having been photographing weddings for the best part of 13 years, I am a highly experienced photographer.  I have been lucky to work at some of the countries premium wedding venues and have one many awards, including the prestigious Guild Of Photographers Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2021.

6. Are you fully Insured?

Yes, I have insurance for all my equipment as well as £2M public liability insurance.  I also have Drone insurance as well as the necessary drone qualifications to be legal and safe when flying at a wedding.

7. Will we have to pay extra for Drone Photos?

No.  I see my drone as an essential piece of equipment on a wedding day, and so long as the weather allows it and it is safe to do so, I will use it on your wedding day to capture shots of the venue, your guests and it allows me to get creative when getting shots of my couples too.

8. How do I book in for a chat about my wedding?

Get in touch using my contact page here and we can arrange a chat, either in person at my home in Brockholes, Holmfirth, or we can arrange a Zoom call.
